Privacy Policy

SkillBridge (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an AI-powered skill-gap analysis tool that compares a resume against a job description and generates a learning roadmap. SkillBridge is operated as a personal portfolio project. For any privacy-related query, contact us at khandsiyahimanshu@gmail.com.

• Resume content. Text extracted from the PDF you upload — name, contact details, education, work history, skills and projects.
• Job description text. The free-text you paste into the analyzer.
• Derived data. The structured skill list, gap report, and roadmap generated by the AI model from the inputs above.
• Technical data. Standard server logs (timestamp, IP, user-agent, request path) for security and abuse prevention.

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.

• To parse your resume into structured data.
• To compare your profile against the job description.
• To generate the gap report and learning roadmap.
• To keep the service running, prevent abuse, and debug errors.

To generate your report we send the resume text and job description to a Large Language Model API operated by:

• Groq, Inc. (primary)
• Google LLC — Gemini API (fallback)

These providers process the data under their own terms and privacy policies. They may briefly log requests for safety and abuse monitoring. We do not authorize them to train their models on your content.

• Your resume PDF is never stored on disk. It is parsed in memory and discarded after the response is sent.
• Reports are not saved to a database. They exist only in your browser session.
• Server access logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days for security purposes.

Because we do not retain your resume after the response, there is typically nothing to access, correct or delete on our side. You may still exercise the following rights at any time by emailing us:

• Right to access & portability
• Right to correction
• Right to erasure
• Right to withdraw consent
• Right to grievance redressal

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. We rely on the security of our hosting provider (Vercel) and the upstream AI providers. No system is perfectly secure — do not upload resumes that contain extremely sensitive information (e.g., government identifiers, financial account numbers).

SkillBridge is not directed at children under 18. If you believe a minor has used the service, contact us and we will assist.

We may update this policy. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
